Tax Expert - Retail

About the role

A seasonal Tax Expert in a retail setting responsible for providing comprehensive tax services, building community relationships, and growing the client base. This role involves on-site customer engagement, offering tax advice, preparing returns, and using TurboTax software to assist clients with various tax situations. The position emphasizes community outreach, local event participation, and online content creation to enhance visibility and trust.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a community ambassador, engaging prospects and participating in local marketing efforts.
• Provide expert tax advice, prepare returns, identify deductions, and offer tax planning guidance.
• Create an exceptional customer experience through professionalism and personalized service.
• Build long-term client relationships, both in-person and virtually, addressing tax challenges and inquiries.

Qualifications

• Active credentials such as EA, CPA, or practicing attorney with extensive tax preparation experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience preparing at least 50 federal and state tax returns annually.
• Compliance with licensing, permits, and PTIN requirements.
• Bilingual ability (English/Spanish) and experience in holistic tax advisory services are a plus.
