Tax Expert

This role is for U.S.-based tax professionals who can create and provide high-quality U.S. tax data. You will produce synthetic or properly authorized tax scenarios, workpapers, calculations, form examples, research annotations, and filing datasets for individuals, businesses, and other entities. Location United States only Engagement Flexible contract projects Compensation $100/hour Schedule Flexible; varies by project What you’ll do Create tax datasets involving income, deductions, credits, basis, timing, entity taxation, filing status, and federal or state compliance.Build supporting workpapers, calculations, form-style examples, fact patterns, and expected treatments with clear source references.Label relevant tax years, jurisdictions, entity types, assumptions, authorities, filing considerations, and calculation dependencies.Use synthetic or fully authorized records and remove taxpayer names, identification numbers, addresses, account details, and other confidential information. Required Qualifications Currently based in the United States.Legally authorized to work in the United States.Experience or advanced training in U.S. tax preparation, tax accounting, advisory, compliance, controversy, or tax law.Strong understanding of federal tax concepts and the ability to identify when state, local, or entity-specific rules may matter.Excellent research, numerical reasoning, and written explanation skills. Preferred Qualifications CPA, Enrolled Agent, tax attorney, MST, or comparable tax credential.Experience with individual and business returns, tax research platforms, or multi-jurisdiction work.Background reviewing returns, workpapers, tax memoranda, or client-facing explanations.
