About the role
The Tax Director will lead the tax function for a major construction company in Atlanta. Reporting to the CFO, this role oversees all tax compliance and planning activities, manages a team of tax professionals, and ensures adherence to tax laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee tax compliance and planning activities for the construction division
- Manage a team of tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely tax filings
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax positions
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the construction industry
- Prepare and present tax-related reports to senior management
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on tax-related matters
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in corporate tax management
- Experience working in the construction industry is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proven ability to manage a team of tax professionals

Pay
Salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 annually
