Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of tax planning, compliance, research, and consulting engagements.
- Review and prepare complex Individual, Partnership, Corporate, Fiduciary, and Multi-State tax returns.
- Develop strategic tax planning solutions that minimize client tax exposure while ensuring compliance.
- Stay current on changing federal, state, and local tax legislation and advise clients accordingly.
- Identify tax planning opportunities, industry-specific risks, and value-added consulting opportunities.
- Oversee multiple client engagements while ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
- Review engagement workpapers and communicate key findings and recommendations to firm leadership.
- Coordinate engagement staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and workflow management.
- Mentor, coach, and develop tax professionals while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional communication and trusted advisory services.
- Utilize industry-leading technology, including UltraTax CS, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks.
- Assist firm leadership with administrative initiatives, operational improvements, and practice growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Active CPA license required.
- 7+ years of progressive public accounting experience within a CPA firm.
- Prior experience managing complex tax engagements and supervising staff.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and multi-state taxation.
- Experience preparing and reviewing Individual, Partnership, Corporate, and Fiduciary tax returns.
- Real estate industry experience is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with UltraTax CS, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and QuickBooks is preferred.

Pay
$180,000 - $220,000 per year
