About the role
The Tax Change Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining the overall change management plan and supporting deliverables. This role develops and executes a holistic change management strategy to transition key stakeholder groups from current to future state. You will collaborate with Change Management leaders, operations, product teams, IT, and other functional areas across RSM, as well as the field.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record leading high-performance teams, strong data analytics capabilities, a continuous improvement mindset, and a deep passion for digital transformation.
Responsibilities
- Work under the change management leader’s direction to manage change throughout assigned projects or initiatives.
- Apply the change management framework and supporting tools (e.g., Tear Sheet, Stakeholder Analysis, Change Impact Analysis).
- Create and maintain the change management plan and its supporting deliverables (e.g., Tear Sheet, Stakeholder Analysis, Training Needs Analysis, Change Impact Analysis).
- Assess proposed changes, outline a change plan, and implement change management strategies.
- Ensure on-time delivery of change materials.
- Coordinate, apply, and track change management tools or activities (e.g., gathering feedback, conducting training, delivering communications).
- Facilitate conversations to ensure comprehensive understanding of processes and technology; refine deliverables based on outcomes.
- Support project teams and field resources in analyzing and developing responses to formal feedback.
- Actively pursue opportunities to increase change management acumen through informal or formal training.
- Help transition work from project/product teams to operations/business teams.
- May serve as a Performance Advisor, providing regular feedback, coaching, goal setting, and training to assigned advisees.
- Act as the primary liaison to the change sponsor, project manager, leadership, project team, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience working with leadership, managing managers, and individual contributors.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience working on initiatives requiring formal Change Management plans or deliverables.
- Results-driven with high integrity; ability to influence, negotiate, and build relationships.
- Superior communication skills, including the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and situations.
- Prior public accounting experience with mid to large firms or other professional services experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (preference given to Business, Technology, or Accounting majors).
- Certified Change Management Professional™ (CCMP™) preferred.

Pay
Compensation Range: $102,800 - $176,000. Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
