Tax Associate
About the role
Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Tax Associate with at least four years of experience, preferably in Austin, Kansas City, Milwaukee, St. Louis, or Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have experience in complex federal transactional tax matters with both non-profit and for-profit clients, including business entity formations, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations. Experience with state and local tax matters is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Advising clients on a wide range of complex federal transactional tax matters
- Assisting with business entity formations, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations
- Providing guidance on state and local tax matters, including income, franchise, sales, and use taxes
Requirements
- Active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which you are applying, or commitment to obtaining one as soon as possible
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and a minimum of four years of relevant experience. A strong academic record is also preferred.

Pay
The compensation range for this position varies based on location. In New York, Vermont, and Washington, D.C., the range is $235,000 - $318,000, in California, Colorado, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Washington is $230,000 – $315,000, in Illinois is $215,000 - $315,000, and in Minnesota is $215,000 - $285,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
