Key Responsibilities
- Aid in the preparation, processing, and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, including sales and use tax, property tax, and other state and local tax filings.
- Handle federal and state tax payments and keep related tax records and filing documentation updated.
- Process invoices for external tax consultants and other tax-related vendors, tracking budgets and payment approvals.
- Support tax audits by coordinating auditor requests, preparing documentation, maintaining audit records, and responding to tax notices and correspondence.
- Maintain sales and use tax administration, exemption certificates, refund requests, unclaimed property reporting, and other state tax compliance activities.
- Coordinate with various internal departments and external tax advisors to support tax compliance and reporting activities.
- Prepare Forms W-9 and maintain related tax documentation.
- Contribute to special tax projects, process improvements, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Experience in accounting, finance, or tax, including internships, is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of corporate tax, sales and use tax, or state tax compliance is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in accounting and a demonstrated ability to handle complex tax matters. They should also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 annually.
