About the Role
Gain an understanding and assist in planning multiple tax assignments across various industries, including Real Estate, Construction, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and more. Participate in client assignments from beginning to end, developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with clients to ensure exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C corporations, S corporations, and individuals
- Develop tax compliance knowledge and assist with IRS audits, tax notice responses, trust returns, gift, and estate returns
- Assist with training and mentoring junior associates and interns on tax methodology
- Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality, and personal conduct
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field preferred
- CPA eligible; desire to obtain certification is required
- Internship experience in accounting or related field preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research, and tax project management skills
- Basic knowledge of GAAP, tax compliance, codes, and regulations
- Ability to multi-task, think independently, and problem-solve in a results-driven, team-oriented environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Ability to travel based on client and business needs
