About the role

Join our Tax Advisory practice where you will work closely with clients to navigate the complexities of tax policy. You will handle a wide range of projects including tax advisory, business transactions, and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of client engagements, serving as the primary point of contact and guiding junior consultants through the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and enhance your project and people management skills while providing ongoing advisory services to clients.
  • Manage multiple engagements in a team environment, ensuring high-quality projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Deliver quality and timely projects, maintaining client satisfaction through effective communication.
  • Assist with sales tax software implementations, client sales and use tax accounting, and address client concerns related to indirect taxes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation
  • 5+ years of indirect tax experience, preferably with Big 4 or large CPA firms
  • Excellent state tax research, writing, and communication skills
  • Significant knowledge of tax software and technology, including Avalara and Vertex
  • Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, exhibit a sense of urgency, and commit to quality and timely project completion
  • Experience managing multiple engagements in a team environment
  • A passion for developing client relationships and building new skills
  • The ability to thrive in an ever-changing, dynamic work environment and identify and solve problems
  • An interest in participating in internal and external company initiatives such as community service, training, recruiting, and firm events
  • The ability to travel as required based on client location
