About the role

Join our Tax Advisory practice where you'll work closely with clients to navigate the complexities of tax policy. You'll handle a variety of projects related to tax advisory, business transactions, and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of client engagements, serving as the primary point of contact and guiding junior consultants through the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and enhance your project and people management skills while providing ongoing thought partnership to clients.
  • Manage multiple engagements in a team environment, ensuring high-quality projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide indirect tax planning and consulting services, including sales and use tax planning, nexus determinations, and tax exposure analysis.
  • Assist with sales tax software implementations, client account management, and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their satisfaction and deliver quality, timely projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation
  • 5+ years of indirect tax experience, preferably with Big 4 or large CPA firms
  • Strong state tax research, writing, and communication skills
  • Significant knowledge of tax software and technology, including Avalara and Vertex
  • Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, and manage multiple engagements
  • A passion for developing client relationships and building new skills
  • Ability to thrive in an ever-changing, dynamic work environment and identify and solve problems
  • Desire to participate in internal and external company initiatives such as community service, training, recruiting, and firm events
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required based on client location
