Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises Senior Associates and Associates of the Tax Planning & Compliance (TPC) team.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day client engagements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tax planning, compliance, and advisory services.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and family offices.
- Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance, feedback, and career development support.
- Aid in developing and implementing tax strategies that align with client goals and ensure compliance.
- Maintain engagement performance metrics such as realization and utilization, identifying opportunities for efficiency and value enhancement.
- Collaborate with Directors and firm leadership on client onboarding, billing, and engagement planning.
- Partner with Operations & Finance to support budgeting and resource planning for your engagements.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the tax team.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, risk protocols, and quality standards.
- Leverage technology and analytics to streamline workflows and enhance client insights.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or EA designation
- 5-7 years of progressive tax experience, including significant exposure to high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, and multi-entity structures
- Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, with hands-on experience in S corporations, partnerships, and trust taxation
- Proven ability to manage client relationships, lead teams, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly and concisely
- Exhibits strong leadership and mentoring skills with a focus on team growth and collaboration
- Willingness to work an average of 48–50 hours per week
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Must be commutable to either the Philadelphia, PA or Wilmington, DE office locations for events and meetings
- Ability and willingness to work in a Siegfried office as required for an average of four days per week (or more) in accordance with Siegfried's then-current policy. (This requirement is subject to change at the discretion of management).
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Taxation, JD or a related advanced credential
- Prior experience at a Big 4 or leading regional accounting/advisory firm
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing S Corporation and trust tax returns
- Familiarity with sales and use tax compliance and advisory matters
- Demonstrated ability to develop tax positions and provide strategic guidance to clients on complex tax issues
- Experience advising on business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and entity restructuring
- Working knowledge of CCH Axcess and CCH Engagement platforms or similar tax compliance / workflow systems
