Key Responsibilities
- Maintains and builds strong customer relationships, gaining a thorough understanding of their business and business goals.
- Serves as a trusted partner for customers, advising on sound accounting, financial management, and tax best practices.
- Gathers complete and accurate financial data to prepare tax returns, financial reports, records and payroll services.
- Understands federal and state tax regulations, staying up to date on changes.
- Grows portfolio in assigned territory to achieve billable hour and revenue goals.
- Collaborates with Credit teammates to develop new business, as well as expanding the relationships of existing customers.
- Actively participates in educational programs for customers and prospects.
- Participates in both departmental and regional team meetings, providing insight on any pertinent updates or information that helps the team better service customers.
Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
Qualifications
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certifications preferred.
- Generally, two or more years of experience in tax preparation, with an understanding of farm and business taxes preferred.
- Basic working knowledge of farm operations and accounting principles is a plus.
- Experience with QuickBooks and/or CenterPoint accounting software is preferred.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and efficiently, with a high degree of accuracy to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to travel within assigned territory as required, including meeting with customers, prospects, and other team members.
