Responsibilities
- Direct a range of tax engagements for individuals, business entities, and fiduciary clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Prepare and review corporate, partnership, individual, and estate-related tax filings while maintaining high quality standards across all deliverables.
- Supervise the completion of financial statement compilations and reviews, offering thoughtful guidance to support client accounting needs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by addressing tax planning matters, operational questions, and broader financial concerns.
- Build and strengthen long-term relationships with a primarily local client base through responsive service and consistent follow-through.
- Assume increasing responsibility for an established portfolio of accounts, with the expectation of gradually transitioning into broader ownership of client engagements.
- Support business advisory efforts that may include bookkeeping oversight, entity formation guidance, and recommendations tailored to client goals.
Salary Range
$85,000 - $150,000 DOE
Requirements
- CPA designation is required.
- Open to candidates ranging from high-level staff to senior and up to manager level.
- Recent public accounting experience in a tax-focused leadership or manager-level role preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and review returns for corporations, partnerships, individuals, and trusts or estates.
- Experience overseeing financial statement review or compilation work for business clients.
- Proficiency with UltraTax or comparable tax software.
- Strong client management skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build lasting client relationships.
- Knowledge of annual income tax provision work, bookkeeping concepts, and general business advisory practices.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience, preferably in a tax-focused role.
• CPA certification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and tax preparation tools.
