Tax Accountant

Title: Tax AccountantLocation: Staten Island (onsite 5 days)Hours: M-F 8:30-5:30 (every Saturday during tax season)Salary: $100,000 + bonus/ over time Must-Haves:Active CPA license required.Seasoned public accounting professional with 3-5+ years of experience who can be handed a client file and confidently run with it from day oneStrong experience preparing and reviewing 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S tax returns.Advanced knowledge of current federal and state tax laws.Exposure to ProSeries, QuickBooks, and Xero.Excellent communication, client service, and relationship management skills.Strong multitasking and organizational abilities with the ability to manage a high-volume client portfolio.Team-oriented professional with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.Ability and willingness to work six days per week during tax season.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review complex individual, partnership, S-Corporation, and Corporate tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S).Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services to individuals and business clients.Manage a diverse client base that includes real estate management companies, restaurants, property owners, and R&D-focused businesses.Stay current on tax law changes and identify planning opportunities for clients.Research technical tax issues and provide recommendations to clients and firm leadership.Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.Utilize ProSeries, QuickBooks, and Xero to support tax preparation and client accounting needs.Collaborate directly with firm leadership on larger and more complex client engagements.Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive service and trusted advisory support.Contribute to the growth of a boutique CPA firm known for its collaborative, family-oriented culture and high-touch client service.
