Responsibilities
- Prepare corporate federal, state, and local tax filings and assemble accurate supporting documentation for each submission.
- Contribute to quarterly and year-end tax work in accordance with applicable accounting guidance and internal reporting timelines.
- Evaluate tax-saving opportunities and assist with planning activities that support efficient corporate tax positions.
- Investigate technical tax questions, interpret regulations, and present clear recommendations to management.
- Partner with outside advisors, auditors, and tax authorities to address filings, reviews, and information requests.
- Review entity structures and organizational changes to identify tax considerations and compliance impacts.
- Track filing calendars, payment due dates, and legislative developments to help ensure timely compliance and proactive risk assessment.
- Support process enhancements that improve accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls across tax workflows.
Requirements
- Experience with corporate income tax compliance in a multi-entity environment.
- Ability to research tax law, analyze complex issues, and translate findings into practical guidance.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
- Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams, external advisors, and regulatory contacts.
- Proficiency in preparing tax workpapers and maintaining organized supporting documentation.
Qualifications
This role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A CPA certification is preferred but not required. Relevant work experience in corporate tax compliance is essential.
