Task Force Director of Food & Beverage
About the Role
Crescent Hotels and Resorts is seeking an Impact Team/Task Force Director of Food & Beverage to join our award-winning global organization. This position works at various properties on an assigned basis and requires 100% travel. On assignment, you will report to the on-property designated Executive Committee Member (e.g., Director or General Manager) as well as the corresponding corporate F&B Leader. The role involves providing leadership and coverage as needed while consistently reporting back to the Crescent Corporate Culinary and Beverage team.

Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the Food & Beverage Division in accordance with hotel standards, including Banquet functions, Lounge, Room Service, and Restaurant facilities.
- Direct, implement, and maintain a service and management philosophy to guide staff.
- Build and lead an innovative, knowledgeable front-of-house team to create memorable dining experiences for guests.
- Monitor labor costs, financial performance, staff development, scheduling, and daily service coordination.
- Act as an advocate for the restaurant, fostering guest relationships to encourage repeat visits.
- Maintain an active presence in the restaurant and event spaces, including leading daily line-ups, department meetings, and walk-throughs of event setups.
- Coordinate and participate in BEO (Banquet Event Order) meetings.
- Lead and mentor a team of restaurant supervisors, identifying talent and providing training opportunities.
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and appraising performance; address feedback and problem-solve as needed.
- Work with hotel leaders to meet budget goals, focusing on payroll and cost of sales.
- Partner with the Executive Chef to approve menus and pricing.
- Build relationships with in-house clients and contractors to drive repeat business.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or Director of Food and Beverage in a luxury hotel environment.
- Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality/Restaurant Management, Business, or equivalent field preferred.
- Experience with restaurant, banquet, and catering operations, including budgeting, expense management, inventory, payroll, labor costing, staffing, marketing, and P&L management.
- Proven knowledge of restaurant POS systems or related systems.
- Passion for crafting personalized guest experiences.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Extensive travel is required.
Pay
Annual salary range of $90,000 - $115,000 based on experience.
