Target Analyst (Targeter) (2023-0087)

Responsibilities

• Candidates must be able to prioritize competing requests in a time-sensitive environment
• Ability to apply solid targeting acumen in unique and novel ways and work with mission partners to validate targets and develop specific action plans
• Opportunities for short duration travel may be available on an ad hoc basis. This position requires previous experience conducting HUMINT targeting and/or supporting HUMINT operations
• Responsible for using advanced tools, datasets, and methodologies to analyze all-source information, generate operational leads, drive successful technical operations, disrupt threats, and advance mission priorities
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to a wide audience, to include officers at all levels of seniority across both the sponsor and community partners
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical topics to a non-technical or less technical audience, to include officers at all levels of seniority across both the customer and community partners
• Must have personal integrity; exhibit initiative, creativity, and flexibility; apply interpersonal, communications, and problem-solving skills; and demonstrate ability to collaborate, build a network of IC relationships, and continually learn
• Work travel may be available on an ad hoc basis

Education & Experience

DEVELOPMENTAL:

• REQUIRED: Bachelor’s (BA or BS) degree OR 6 years of experience working in a relevant field in the respective discipline. Consequently, 7-10 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree. Must include 1-4 years of IC experience including experience as an Analyst evaluating information for targeting and reporting purposes.
• DESIRED: Basic knowledge of telecommunications, including cellular networks and computer networks.

FULL PERFORMANCE:

• REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) OR 6 years of experience working in a relevant field in the respective discipline. Consequently, 11-13 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree. Must include 5-7 years of IC experience including experience as an Analyst evaluating information for targeting and reporting purposes. Demonstrated strong analytic, writing, and briefing skills when presenting results of research.
• DESIRED: Basic knowledge of telecommunications, including cellular networks and computer networks.

SENIOR:

• REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree OR 6 years of experience working in a relevant field in the respective discipline. Consequently, 14-16 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree. Must include 8-10 years of IC experience including experience as an Analyst evaluating information for targeting and reporting purposes.
• DESIRED: Basic knowledge of telecommunications, including cellular networks and computer networks.

EXPERT:

• REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree OR 6 years of experience working in a relevant field in the respective discipline. Consequently, 17+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree. Must include 11+ years of IC experience including experience as an Analyst evaluating information for targeting and reporting purposes.
• DESIRED: Basic knowledge of telecommunications, including cellular networks and computer networks.
