About the role

The Taproom Host is responsible for providing an amazing first impression to each guest as they enter Big Grove. This is achieved through what we call Relentless Hospitality and our hospitality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide warm and enthusiastic greetings to guests.
  • Address guest inquiries, handle complaints or special requests.
  • Manage the taprooms seating plan efficiently to optimize service flow and table turnover.
  • Keep host stand and adjacent areas clean, tidy, and organized.
  • Restock to-go beer and assist in the merchandise store as needed.
  • Thank every guest as they depart for visiting us.
  • Answer phone calls, answer customer questions, and take call-ahead or reservation requests.
  • Utilize Toast Tables software to initiate and maintain waitlists.
  • Provide guests accurate wait times.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of related experience preferred, but training will be provided to those who embody our core values.

Pay

Full time and part time positions may be available. Hours of work/days may vary from week to week. Schedules will be posted 2 weeks prior to allow time for employee's to be informed of work requirements. The business is open 7 days a week during many different parts of the day. Evening and weekends are a key requirement.

Schedule

The position operates in a hospitality/ brewery environment. This role routinely uses cleaning supplies and point of sale terminal systems.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
