Tank Welder

About the role

Handles welding and fitting of both mild steel and stainless steel, welding parts together using gas welding, brazing, or any combination of arc welding processes. Performs thermal cutting and grinding, repairing broken or cracked parts, filling holes, and increasing the size of metal parts.

Responsibilities

• Utilize both MIG and TIG welding techniques
• Order and receive parts and supplies as needed
• Adhere to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards, including identification, use, and proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous wastes
• Clean, organize, and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements

• Possess both welding and fitting skills
• Ability to operate an acetylene torch
• Read and comprehend measurements and job sheets
• Experience working in an industrial setting
• High school diploma or GED
• Welding Certificate is a plus, but not required

Pay

$25.00 to $30.00 per hour, pending experience
