Tank Wash Technician

About the role

The Tank Wash Technician is responsible for maintaining our culture that all Oakley employees live to create trust and confidence by consistently delivering on our promises to all we serve.

Candidates must be able to communicate verbally, have basic computer knowledge, climb to heights of 14 ft or more, work in confined spaces, and read and understand the tank wash schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform all necessary cleaning of cargo tanks interior and exterior following the organization’s procedures.
• Follow the directions of the Tank Wash Supervisor.
• Adhere to JPA guidelines on tank wash procedures.
• Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within the unit or department as well as with other units and departments to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
• Abide by current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed to promote a harassment-free and non-discriminatory workplace.
• Operate yard vehicles safely around the yard.
• Maintain a clean tank wash area per JPA standards.
• Maintain proper storage of cleaning apparatus.
• Adapt to changes in policies and procedures as required by Federal, State, and local laws.
