About the role
DOT inspection certified mechanics with 3 to 5 years of tanker repair experience are sought to join Depot Connect International (DCI), a global leader in Tank/ISO Tank Container Services and Tank Trailer Parts. DCI combines the expertise of industry leaders Quala, Boasso Global, and PSC, with headquarters in Tampa, Florida, and over 160 locations worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other systems on tank trailers.
- Perform tank service and repair.
- Install and repair trailer suspension systems.
- Work with air brake systems and conduct repairs.
- Perform TIG aluminum, stainless, or carbon welding (optional).
- Inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of tanker repair experience.
- DOT inspection certification.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; with assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to fit through a tank trailer manhole and work in confined spaces.
Skills
- Tank service and repair.
- Trailer suspension installation and repair.
- Air brake systems and repairs.
- TIG welding (aluminum, stainless, or carbon) – optional.
- DOT/HM183 (hazmat) inspection standards.

Pay
$18.00 to $35.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
