Tank Trailer Mechanic

Responsibilities

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair.
• Trailer suspension installation and repair.
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards, complete DOT inspections.
• Welding and fabrication experience - TIG/MIG, aluminum and stainless preferred.

Requirements

The position requires regular lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, with occasional assistance for up to 75 pounds. Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole and work in confined spaces.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards, complete DOT inspections.

Pay

Pay Range: $21.00 to $41.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Schedule

Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
