This posting is for multiple field supervision roles on project sites; candidates must be able to travel to various locations throughout the year (Florida, Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, etc.).
About the role
The Tank Foreman assists the Operations Manager with overseeing field crews and equipment, serves as the liaison between Matrix personnel, QA/QC, and the customer/client, and mentors field personnel.
Responsibilities
- Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”

- Performs system verification on completed systems to ensure correct installation per design specifications.
- Reviews NDE reports at jobs to ensure all code and customer requirements are met.
- Assists in planning work schedules, determining personnel needs, material quantities, and equipment requirements.
- Supervises craft workers, providing liaison between field engineering and crafts to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.
- Monitors work performance and productivity to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are maintained.
- Advises senior-level superintendents and/or project management of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties; assists in resolving such issues.
- Ensures adherence to all company, department, and technical policies, procedures, and standards; interprets policies as required.
- Performs additional responsibilities as directed.
Requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent understanding of Aboveground Storage Tanks, with a focus on Tank Maintenance and Repair experience.
- Experience running a crew.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook (or willingness to learn).
- Knowledge of API standards (preferred).
- Ability to travel to multiple project sites in different states throughout the year.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
