Tampa - Schedule Engineer

Responsibilities

• Spli[ts] candidates’ time between the Tampa office and localized jobsites
• Supports Whiting-Turner Schedule Manager with group and project-specific responsibilities
• Develops pursuit and proposal schedules
• Develops master project schedules
• Develops detailed construction schedules
• Data entry of activities, durations, and sequences into Primavera
• Uses Oracle Primavera scheduling software (training provided by Whiting-Turner)
• Becomes familiar with other schedule software platforms
• Manages schedule updates, collecting progress and incorporating into scheduling software
• Reports – Prepares schedule update reports and graphics per Contract requirements
• Analyzes schedule data
• Develops and analyzes the impact of issues on the project schedule
• Captures scheduling metrics and creates spreadsheets/data bases to interpret and visualize the data
• Performs technical reviews of the project schedule’s quality and performance
• Data mining – Mines data from as-built schedule for historical metrics
• Estimates – Performs square footage and quantity take-offs, as needed
• Loads costs onto schedule activities and maintains cost information through the updating process
• Manages Whiting-Turner’s schedule database and Primavera software
• If assigned to a project site, attends project meetings (WT, Owner, Subcontractor)
• Walks the project site to independently confirm the project team’s assessment of progress and completion of schedule activities
• Collects information from lean scheduling meetings and uses the information to update the CPM

Qualifications

• Experience with Primavera scheduling software
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
