Overview

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking 4 experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologists to join their Academic OBGYN Residency Program at AdventHealth Tampa. Current needs are for 1 general and 3 OB hospitalist positions.

About the Role

You will be joining General OB/GYNs, Gynecologic Surgeons, FPMRS, and MFM physicians. Your primary scope of practice will include seeing patients in the clinic, teaching in the clinic and hospital, and taking 3 (24-hour) call shifts per month. Gynecologic surgery can be incorporated into your practice, although not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in a hospital setting, ensuring high-quality, round-the-clock care for patients.
  • Manage labor and delivery, respond to obstetric emergencies, perform deliveries and surgical procedures, and collaborate with nurses and other specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and provide consultative services.
  • Play a key role in mentoring and supervising OB/GYN residents, providing hands-on training, overseeing clinical decision-making, and fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Current medical license (M.D. or D.O.)
  • Board certification or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Certification in adult and neonatal resuscitation
  • 5 years minimum of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Proficiency with hospital EMR systems
  • A motivation to increase patient safety and elevate patient satisfaction, along with dynamic communication skills and the ability to fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth

Flexible schedules will include fourteen 12 hour shifts OR seven 24 hour shifts per month.

Hospital Description
