Pediatric Hospitalist at AdventHealth Tampa

About the role

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are seeking a dynamic Pediatric Hospitalist to join their team at AdventHealth Tampa in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric admissions in the 15-bed Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit supporting ED pediatric consults
• Participate in daily family-centered rounding
• Coverage in the Level 1 Newborn Nursery with support from an Advanced Practice Provider
• Flexible schedule, approximately 14, 12-hour shifts per month, including days, nights, and weekends
• Work in conjunction with a 28-bed Level 3 NICU with 24/7 neonatologist coverage
• Support a 5-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with intensivist coverage
• Collaborate with Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Medical Specialty support on site

AdventHealth for Children Walt Disney Pavilion

As part of AdventHealth Tampa’s collaboration with the Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children, patients will benefit from a full-service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 pediatric ICU beds with a dedicated peds CICU, a 102-bed NICU, 17-bed pediatric emergency department, and a statewide pediatric network and transport system. The facility has a strong track record of positive outcomes and offers several key destination programs, including a level IV epilepsy program, the region’s only bone marrow and solid organ transplants, and increased NICU beds to 150 in 2017. The hospital also has a new program bringing pediatric liver transplant services to Central Florida.
