About the Role

Quince is looking for a Tech Talent Researcher to help fuel one of the fastest-growing talent teams in the industry. In this role, you'll partner closely with recruiters and hiring leaders to identify, map, and engage exceptional technical talent across a wide range of business functions (Engineering, Product Management, Data Science, etc). You'll be responsible for building the top of the recruiting funnel through market research, talent mapping, and sourcing/outreach strategy. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving talent puzzles, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is energized by uncovering exceptional people before anyone else. Talent Researchers play a critical role in helping us build world-class teams. You'll have the opportunity to work across every part of the business, influence hiring strategy, and grow into a recruiter or sourcing leader as the company continues to scale.

Responsibilities

  • Build proactive technical talent pipelines across Software Engineering, Data Science, Product Management and other core technical functions.
  • Partner with Engineering leadership to understand business priorities and build pipeline for critical technical searches.
  • Own technical sourcing strategy, including market mapping, target company strategy, and building diverse talent pipelines.
  • Build market intelligence on competitor companies and technical talent pools to enable recruiters and hiring leaders to identify high-performing talent.
  • Surface market insights, hiring trends, and competitive intelligence to help Engineering and Recruiting teams iterate on hiring strategy.
  • Support high-priority technical searches with deep research, talent intelligence, and proactive candidate engagement.
  • Leverage programmatic and data-driven skills to track and optimize outreach metrics and conversion rates, and utilize tools like LinkedIn Talent Insights to research company landscapes and identify talent-dense organizations.
  • Design and implement compelling, creative sourcing and engagement strategies across differentiated channels to identify and attract top-tier, niche tech talent, specifically supporting our technical hiring needs in Palo Alto.

Qualifications

  • 1–4 years of experience in a professional environment, with a preference for backgrounds in recruiting research, sourcing, executive search, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong curiosity and ability to quickly understand new industries, functions, and talent markets.
  • Excellent research skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with data and identifying patterns to improve sourcing strategies.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft thoughtful outreach.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple searches simultaneously.
  • Bias for action and willingness to iterate quickly in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong ability to think creatively about where exceptional candidates come from.
  • Ability to learn new functions quickly and adapt sourcing strategies accordingly.
  • Operates with urgency while maintaining a high quality bar.
  • Enjoys partnering closely with recruiters and hiring managers to solve difficult hiring challenges.

Pay

$80,000 USD - $110,000 USD
