About the Role

The Analyst 2, Talent Management role is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and administration of Talent Management practices within the Americas region (including U.S., Canada, Mexico, and South America). Key focus areas include executive-level promotion processes, executive announcements, executive onboarding, talent assessment administration, executive-level succession planning, and career-pathing activities and coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Level Promotion, Announcement & Onboarding Processes:
    • Coordinates end-to-end promotion, announcement, and integration (onboarding) processes for executives new to their roles in the Americas.
    • Manages a fair, robust, and systematic promotion process to support appropriate selection to the executive level.
    • Coordinates multiple stakeholders to ensure aligned communication for executives taking on new roles.
    • Facilitates the executive onboarding process between the hiring manager, HRBP team, and new hire to support integration into the team.
  • Nomination Advisory Committee (NAC):
    • Organizes and partners with business leaders and HR for global and regional-level succession planning meetings based on function.
    • Involves significant project management coordination to gather and prepare materials and data, conduct pre-meeting consultations, and facilitate meeting discussions.
  • Succession Planning:
    • Coordinates, facilitates, and manages Americas-wide executive-level succession planning activities.
    • Partners with leadership and HR through all aspects of the process.
    • Facilitates discussions related to talent pipeline, development planning, and creative idea generation to ensure succession plans are accurate, comprehensive, and considerate of DEI.
    • Addresses future gaps and needs of the business and recommends talent succession slates for confidential and organizational structure changes.
  • Talent Assessment Administration:
    • Coordinates and manages talent assessment processes and tools across the organization.
    • Researches best practices externally and integrates them into Nissan processes.
    • Ensures an excellent employee experience for talents receiving assessments and usefulness of data for stakeholders (HR, Business).
  • Career Consultation:
    • Supports career pathing, competency development, and regular career and talent conversations with Nissan talent.
    • Provides guidance on executive interview preparation for both interviewers and interviewees.
    • Partners with leadership teams and other HR functions in the development of career pathing plans.
  • Other Activities/Support:
    • Collaborates with Global Talent Management and Global HR Strategic Partners for information-sharing, global program deployment, and collaboration activities.
    • Actively participates in opportunities for Talent Management program enhancements to support employees, leaders, executives, and the HR community.
    • Supports various reporting and Talent Management needs for Nissan Global HR, MC-A Chairman's Office, and the regional HR organization.
    • Develops and maintains governance and process documentation.
    • Educates the HR community on TM processes and required partnership activities.
    • Develops processes and procedures to effectively deliver and explain TM strategy and activities.
    • Partners with executives and leadership on special projects and engagement activities related to talent development and retention.
    • Supports and collaborates with leadership development and rotational programs as required.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of directly related professional-level experience in talent management, succession planning, or organizational development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other PC or mainframe applications.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Ability to manage projects and daily functions with discretion and some supervision.
  • Strong presentation skills for interacting with all levels of the organization, including executives.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD degree.
  • Previous experience with talent assessment processes and/or succession planning activities.
  • Experience with Workday and Tableau applications.

Travel

Minimal day or overnight travel may be required.
