Your work directly impacts product development for some of the world's most influential companies. This isn't a typical recruiter role, it's a mix of authentic community building and strategic sourcing. You'll attend community events, build real relationships with local organizations, and navigate dynamic sourcing challenges that require creativity and cultural understanding.

  • Actively recruit through direct, face-to-face interactions and community engagement while supplementing with remote recruitment when needed
  • Represent and promote the TELUS International brand with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm in all community interactions
  • Design and execute innovative recruitment campaigns across social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter) that genuinely resonate with diverse audiences
  • Develop and execute field sourcing strategies including newspaper advertising, establishment partnerships, and community outreach
  • Leverage unconventional sourcing methods and multiple channels to attract candidates; avoid conventional methods and think creatively
  • Create and implement effective recruitment advertisements and sourcing materials while maintaining an engaging, permanent social media presence
  • Manage recruitment materials professionally and attract ongoing talent through consistent digital engagement
  • Establish, build, and grow extensive networks of resourcing channels, partners, and associates including community services, schools, local government agencies, businesses, NGOs, employment agencies, media outlets, and digital platforms
  • Cultivate strategic relationships to expand recruitment reach and visibility, developing creative partnerships that provide sustainable talent pipelines
  • Provide comprehensive support to qualified participants throughout the onboarding process
  • Collaborate regularly with Sourcing Manager, Sourcing Team Leader, and team members
  • Provide consistent reporting on recruitment activities, metrics, and outcomes
  • Share insights, best practices, and innovative approaches to enhance team effectiveness
  • Handle rejections professionally and persuade candidates with authenticity and genuine enthusiasm

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in recruitment, sourcing, human resources, or high volume crowd hiring
  • Established local network and community connections (experience in real estate, sales, or brokerage is a plus)
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing applications, and email clients
  • Ability to design, publish, and manage recruitment advertisements and digital materials
  • Strong technical aptitude for learning new systems, tools, and platforms
  • Comfortable creating and managing content across social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Outgoing, friendly personality with genuine interest in building relationships across diverse communities
  • Outstanding customer service attitude and relationship-building capabilities with ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Creative, outside-the-box thinking and problem-solving approach with a "can-do" attitude
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong ability to thrive in multicultural, global work environments
  • Positive attitude toward people from all backgrounds and cultures
  • Resilient and able to handle objections professionally
  • Native or near native US English fluency with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable working in highly secure and confidential environments with discretion and professionalism
