Talent Development & Engagement Manager
About the role
The primary objective of the Talent Development and Engagement Manager is to support our goal of being a "best in class" organization for both talent development and employee engagement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive cultural and organizational transformation in support of our remote workforce.
Responsibilities
- Support programs aligned with Komen’s talent development strategy and org-wide initiatives to help continue to engage and develop Komen’s workforce
- Aid in the development and facilitation of training, Gallup Strengths coaching, career pathing, and skill building programs that are critical to long-term and short-term objectives
- Prepare analysis and reporting of talent development program results and effectiveness, identifying potential gaps and areas of improvement
- Serve as facilitator/trainer for org-wide learning opportunities
- Administer Quantum Workplace system and manage engagement, life cycle, and pulse surveys
- Collaborate with Human Resources team to analyze and review answers from internal surveys questionnaires and communications to find trends in employee feedback
- Assist with employee onboarding initiatives such as facilitating virtual employee onboarding (when necessary), managing and collaborating with instructional design team to develop new employee resources
- Manage employee recognition/appreciation programs and initiatives such as Awardco, Tenure Awards, and Employee recognition events
- Liaison with the Wellness Committee, Internal Communications, and FunRaisers (Komen’s employee engagement committee) to ensure integration, alignment, and amplification of messaging and an organization-wide calendar
- Create "out of the box" initiatives to enhance the employee experience throughout the employee life cycle
- Develop communications that help foster a company culture of respect and appreciation for individual differences
- Manage the development and deployment of the bi-weekly HR newsletter
- Lead the FunRaisers Committee in creating and implementing programs and social activities to keep a hybrid workforce engaged, feel a sense of belonging, and have fun
- Oversee planning and budget of social activities and events including celebrations, holiday and seasonal parties, giving initiatives, and other annual events
- Oversee the internal Team Komen initiative to drive engagement with mission and fundraising activities
- Develop and deploy team meeting and teambuilding activities to drive consistent culture and experiences for employees
- Oversee ad-hoc projects that further enhance the employee experience and contribute to a highly engaged organization
- Stay abreast of trends, issues, experiences relating to talent development strategies, employee engagement and remote work-life
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree and at least 5+ years of experience supporting or leading talent development, employee engagement and other people focused programs
- Demonstrated experience facilitating engaging, inclusive learning experiences for diverse audiences, including leaders, managers and individual contributors
- A passion for using data to drive desired results within an employee engagement program
- A self-starter mentality with a high attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects at a time
- The ability to design surveys, assess candidates/employees' needs, evaluate feedback, and translate those into actionable recommendations to improve company's work environment
- Meet with stakeholders to determine opportunities to increase the employee experience via alignment in efforts across different areas of responsibilities
- Provide insight on organizational and change management techniques, while looking for opportunities to reinforce existing resources and programs through promotion and/or learning
- Excellent presentation skills, writing, editing, and Excel manipulation - bring an ability to think and communicate information visually
- Proven success building and implementing programs that inform and delight employees
- Manage day-to-day employee engagement projects and programs to drive employee engagement and foster a high-performance culture
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and shift priorities depending on business demands
- Passion for developing culture and desire to champion a new employee engagement strategy
Skills
- Coaching certification in an area of employee development, such as Gallup Strengths, DiSC, or other content facilitation certifications related to specific employee development programs (FranklinCovey, Culture Partners)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively with diverse individuals, groups and communities
- The ability to respond flexibly and engage in creative problem-solving
- Direct experience building and deploying surveys in the Quantum Workplace platform, along with experience building/editing dashboards to analyze data
Benefits
Komen provides an approximate salary of $68,000 - $87,000/annually, exact compensation ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, experience and geographic location.

Komen defines remote as the ability to work from any physical location within the U.S. where an employee can perform specified work duties without disruption or distraction. Komen defines home-based roles as positions that are required to reside in a specific market. Work schedules for both remote and home based are determined by the organizational needs of each department.
