Full-time, exempt position reporting to the HR Manager in the Human Resources department at our Foothill Ranch, CA location (19772 Pauling, 92610).

About the role

Chroma Systems Solutions, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of power testing instruments and systems, including programmable AC/DC power sources, electronic loads, digital power meters, and automated testing systems for industries such as aerospace, defense, automotive, medical, battery, solar, and regulatory testing.

This role is responsible for recruiting individuals to fill open positions, spanning both technical and non-technical roles—from administrative assistants to manager or director-level candidates. Experience with engineering positions is a plus. The position requires strong task management, follow-up skills, and the ability to handle frequent interruptions.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage employment advertisements, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating interviews with hiring departments.
  • Perform searches for qualified candidates using databases (Indeed, ZipRecruiter), networking, job fairs, recruiting firms, and employee referrals.
  • Review applications and job requisitions to match applicants with job requirements.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and consistent communication to applicants and hiring departments, including regular check-ins.
  • Interview applicants to assess work history, training, education, and skills; refer qualified candidates to hiring managers with hiring recommendations.
  • Inform applicants of job details, including duties, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, and promotion opportunities.
  • Schedule or administer assessments (e.g., quizzes) for prospective employees as needed.
  • Assist with hiring processes, including new hire paperwork (greater than 10% of time).
  • Maintain current knowledge of employment-related laws, including pre-employment regulations.
  • Analyze employment-related data and prepare reports.
  • Maintain and update job board postings.
  • Partner with third-party staffing agencies to source hard-to-fill roles.
  • Maintain HR information per department guidelines.
  • Assist with administration of employee benefits, including submitting employee information and status changes to insurance carriers (greater than 10% of time).

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of recruitment experience.
  • Working knowledge of industry recruiting tools (Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations related to candidates and job postings.
  • Critically detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge of state and federal pre-employment and labor laws.
  • Ability to multitask and manage concurrent activities, including department/company event planning.
