About the Role
Manage candidate development at all levels of talent. Develop relationships with key industry players in person and via telephone to generate qualified candidates for multiple search assignments. Oversee the candidate lifecycle including identifying, qualifying, interviewing, and managing targeted candidates to rapidly produce a best-in-class slate of talent that meets or exceeds M&T’s internal client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in talent attraction.
- Actively collaborate with line managers to develop strategies for building talent pipelines, interviewing, qualifying, and recommending top candidates.
- Proactively source and attract a quality workforce to maintain applicant flow for current and future staffing needs.
- Counsel line managers on recommended compensation packages.
- Negotiate, extend offers, and effectively close candidates.
- Adhere to government regulations, organizational policies, and system/data integrity standards.
- Build effective relationships with HR Business Partners, line management, and employees.
- Provide insights into the competition for talent.
- Attend job fairs and/or open houses.
- Work closely with Associate Recruiters to ensure appropriate sourcing support for lines of business.
- Manage special projects as assigned.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify and escalate risk-related issues to management.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and issues raised by external regulators.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- College Degree or applicable progressive experience in recruiting may be considered in lieu of education.
- Minimum two years of total recruitment experience and/or relevant business line experience.
- Strong sales ability, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and engagements simultaneously.
- Ability to function in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Proactive approach and proven ability to remain diligent on searches.
- Experience identifying passive job seekers.
- Demonstrated fast response time, consistency, and success in recruitment.
- Strong knowledge of personal computers and related software programs, including internet experience.
- Superior consultative skills and ability to influence decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for Human Resources within a corporate environment.
- Demonstrated ability in cold calling, name generation, and networking.
- Experience with Human Resources applicant tracking systems.
- Demonstrated recruitment success in acquiring niche talent.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $68,400.00 - $114,000.00 (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
