Responsibilities
- Manage job postings for branches and departments
- Actively screen and interview primarily branch and entry-level administrative candidates
- Develop and execute effective hiring strategies, focusing on non-exempt front-line staff
- Utilize a range of sourcing techniques, including online systems, social media, and community outreach
- Build a strong pipeline of candidates through sourcing strategies
- Provide Human Resource consultation to hiring managers and candidates
- Recommend candidates for hire and negotiate salaries with managers and candidates
- Coordinate with external resources to meet urgent staffing needs
- Conduct New Employee Welcome sessions and communicate Bank and Human Resource policies and procedures
- Represent First Hawaiian Bank and Human Resources at various recruiting events
- Prepare and analyze staffing reports, leveraging data analytics to inform talent and business decisions
- Manage job requisitions and postings, working closely with the Talent Acquisition team
- Serve as primary back-up to Talent Acquisition Coordinator in new hire processing/onboarding, and other administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Prioritization of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management
- Minimum of 3 years of professional work or office experience, with 1 year of full-cycle recruitment experience
- Knowledge of employment and labor laws, and understanding of best practices in the industry
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work within strict timelines
- Active listening and strong consultative skills, with a results-driven and motivated approach
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite and HR systems
- Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information and exercise sound judgment in hiring decisions
