About the Role
This position is responsible for all recruiting and staffing programs and activities for assigned business units. Responsibilities include attracting, selecting, hiring, and on-boarding talent, as well as partnering with hiring managers to build a workforce aligned with Allegiant’s core values and critical skills. You will review candidate resumes and profiles, conduct interviews, make assessments, recommend talent, negotiate and present offers, provide candidate status communications, and maintain workflow and notes in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum one (1) year of previous work experience in an administrative or customer service role preferred
- Valid/unexpired passport book and driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous airline experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in time management and candidate management
- Ability to manage several low-level positions for a limited number of hiring managers
- Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS); Ultimate Software is a plus
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across all organizational levels
- Ability to recognize and match candidates to job specifications
- Ability to assist managers in understanding the recruitment lifecycle
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity
Responsibilities
- Embody and support the People Services Culture in most interactions
- Understand the business and roles supported and their impact on operations
- Execute basic recruiting administrative duties, including opening and routing requisitions, posting positions, updating candidate records, and scheduling interviews
- Conduct basic screening for high-volume, low-difficulty positions (e.g., Stations, Call Center, Customer Service, Internships, Administrative roles)
- Interact with hiring managers on elements of the recruiting cycle, including needs assessments, candidate presentations, feedback gathering, and progress updates
- Work with FP&A team members on headcount requests and approvals for open positions
- Interact with college career centers and attend job fairs
- Evaluate candidate backgrounds and match them against open requisitions
- Develop basic screening questions for open roles
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, printer, and phone
- May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs
- May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour operation
- Regular attendance is required
- Exposure to moderate noise (e.g., office environment with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature, and light fluctuations
- Ability to work in a confined area and sit at a computer terminal for extended periods
- Some travel may be required
- Must be able to report to assigned work location during national and state emergencies unless prohibited by local, state, or federal order
