Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner I to join our Human Resources team based in Kinston, NC.

About the role

The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recommending candidates for entry-level through senior-level roles. This role involves understanding, modeling, and representing the Airbus employment value proposition and published Airbus Values. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying opportunities to build applicant pools and establishing trust and partnerships with managers and Human Resources.
  • Determining potential “fit” through effective interviewing and testing.
  • Administering the interviewing and onboarding process to ensure a positive new hire experience.
  • Developing and executing recruitment plans and strategies to meet hiring goals with the best possible talent.
  • Ensuring all activities comply with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA, and other relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment of Roles Assigned (50%)
    • Consult with leaders, hiring managers, and the HR team on position descriptions, requisition creation, compensation, and sourcing strategies.
    • Deliver high-quality shortlists of candidates.
    • Perform talent acquisition activities such as resume and phone screens, recommend final selection of applicants, and close qualified candidates.
    • Place and update job postings across various media, including internet/intranet sites, colleges, social networks, community boards, and staffing partners.
    • Promote Airbus referral programs and internal opportunities through regular communication with managers and employees.
    • Maintain the applicant tracking system, recruiting reports, and other staffing administration functions.
    • Respond promptly to internal and external applicant inquiries.
    • Conduct regular follow-ups with managers to assess the effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
    • Seek guidance from Talent Acquisition leadership on recruitment issues.
    • May require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours.
  • Sourcing Strategy and Activities (15%)
    • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
    • Continuously develop networks and partnerships to build a database/pipeline of candidates and enhance the Airbus company brand.
    • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition leadership to determine sourcing strategies.
  • Workforce Development Support (20%)
    • Partner with Business HR leaders to understand and prepare for upcoming talent acquisition needs.
    • Create new pipelines to respond to business needs.
  • Recruitment Event Support (10%)
    • Represent the company at recruiting events (e.g., college job fairs), providing company and job information, and interviewing applicants.
    • Give presentations at colleges, attend student group meetings, and increase college awareness of the company before and after career fairs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition and Interviewing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or a combination of education and appropriate work experience.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of staffing principles, laws, and procedures, including US Employment and Labor Laws and their application to the recruitment process and applicant tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of the regional labor market.
  • Demonstrated experience in various recruiting techniques, including online and social media recruiting.
  • Proven ability to communicate and effectively “sell” an organization's value proposition.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, marketing, presentation, interviewing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service, negotiation skills, and ability to interact with employees at all levels throughout the company.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to propose new ideas and solutions.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other candidate sourcing tools.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; French, German, or Spanish language skills are a plus.

Schedule

Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.

Physical Requirements

  • Vision: Able to see and read computer screens, documents, reports, and engineering drawings.
  • Hearing: Able to hear conversations in person and via teleconference or phone, and to hear sounds on the production floor, including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Speaking: Able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information, and participate in communications.
  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate personal computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines, and related office equipment, as well as some production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • Carrying: Able to carry documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs/14 kg.
  • Lifting: Rarely required to lift up to 30 lbs/14 kg.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment/tools.
  • Sitting: Able to sit for long periods during meetings or while working on a computer.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: Able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: Able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
  • Travel: Able to travel independently and at short notice, up to 15% domestically.
  • Walking: Able to walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Administrative position; PPE required as applicable.

This position is open to candidates able to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
