About the Role
The Talent Acquisition Manager leads the organization's talent acquisition strategy and full-cycle recruitment operations. This role develops and implements effective recruiting practices, ensures compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations, and drives process improvements that enhance efficiency, candidate experience, and hiring outcomes.
Essential Job Functions
- Develops and executes strategic recruiting initiatives aligned with organizational goals, workforce planning, and talent needs
- Leads the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, pre-employment, and onboarding processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Establishes, monitors, and analyzes key talent acquisition metrics to inform strategy, improve hiring outcomes, enhance the candidate experience, and measure the team's performance
- Manages the team's workload distribution and optimizes team resources to meet hiring demands, including managing a requisition workload
- Drives continuous process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce time-to-fill, and enhance the candidate experience
- Conducts regular coaching and alignment meetings with team member(s) to proactively resolve recruitment challenges
- Applies applicant tracking system knowledge and experience to identify opportunities to further optimize the existing technology and enhance the experience with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
- Develops creative sourcing strategies and talent pipeline initiatives to proactively source and attract qualified candidates, particularly for hard-to-fill positions
- Establishes credibility across the organization through responsiveness, collaboration, and effective problem-solving
- Develops comprehensive job descriptions in collaboration with hiring leaders to reflect the role requirements
- Provides training and guidance to leaders on recruitment best practices and processes, interviewing, and compliance requirements
- Maintains current knowledge of employment laws and regulations through ongoing research, professional development, and continuing education
- Leads employer branding initiatives in partnership with the Marketing and Communication Team to attract top talent
- Monitors industry trends, best practices, and emerging talent acquisition technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive talent acquisition strategy
- Actively participates in the assessment of current and future vendor relationships, and manages vendor relationships to ensure optimal systems, execution, budget, and compliance
- Demonstrates behavior that is professional, ethical, and accountable
- Operates with a high level of integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Reliable, consistent, on-site attendance is a requirement
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manages one (1) or more direct reports by providing guidance and/or oversight to employees and/or contractors
- Develops and maintains roles, responsibilities, and expectations
- Practices performance management in support of employee development, and performs administrative duties associated with being a people manager
- Responsibilities include interviewing, planning, assigning, directing work, and resolving problems
- Sponsors and participates in and/or supports project teams sponsored by other management team members
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Human Resource Management or a closely related field and 5-7 years of recruitment experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience
- 3-5 years of experience with in-house recruiting for all levels of the organization (entry level to executive level)
- Experience sourcing passive candidates
- 2-3 years of people management experience
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification (strongly preferred)
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and insurance
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Ability to work with a diverse population
- Ability to work effectively with situations that require tact and diplomacy
- Strong customer service skills and willingness to assist others, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with direct report(s), co-workers, and staff of other departments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to complete projects and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior-level leadership
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously on a variable schedule based on project demand
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels within the company in English
- Skills in preparing presentations
Pay
Starting pay: $64,600 - $80,750
