About the Program

Love’s college internship program is frequently referred to as the best in Oklahoma City. This rapidly growing program provides opportunities for students in multiple areas of the business to receive employee-level experience, not just busy work. Students gain valuable knowledge that they can’t get in a classroom, including guidance on proper etiquette in a professional corporate setting. With a high percentage of full-time offers, Love’s invests in both the students and their future.

Over the course of the summer, Love’s interns participate in the following activities:

  • Tour of multiple business operations
  • Q&A sessions with executives
  • Participation in Greater Grads: InternOKC
  • Community volunteering activities
  • Social/Networking events
  • Classroom skills-based training
  • Mentor program
  • Structured performance feedback
  • Formal presentation to Love’s leadership

Responsibilities

  • Provide robust support in the recruitment process by conducting phone screens, completing reference checks, extending job offers, and coordinating interviews between candidates and upper-level management.
  • Oversee and manage the background check process for positions and collaborate with other HR team members.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with candidates throughout the hiring process and afterward.
  • Open and manage job requisitions in the applicant tracking system.
  • Post jobs to internal and external career sites.
  • Assist with onboarding of new hires, including background facilitation, new hire and first-day emails, and I-9 verification.
  • Assist with any recruiting or HR-related projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Currently enrolled in a four-year university program (preparation for a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Education, Training & Development, or other related field).
  • Past internship experience is a plus.

Skills

  • Effective writing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong time management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Can-do attitude, sense of urgency, and ability to take constructive criticism.
  • Strong work ethic and excellent planning skills.
  • Strong ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Physical Demands

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
