About the role

The Talent Acquisition Assistant provides administrative support and coordination of various Talent Acquisition functions including recruitment, onboarding, and Human Resource Information Systems administration.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel.
  • Provides information regarding company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.
  • Assists in onboarding process by tracking completion of background checks and helping new hires complete required employment documentation.
  • Schedules and attends job/career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.
  • Conducts training programs for managers to improve recruiting and hiring efficiencies, reduce turnover, and create positive employee relationships.
  • Handles confidential information professionally, respecting employee privacy and maintaining company confidentiality.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Administers the applicant tracking system and learning management system.
  • Maintains recruiting and training records as required and compiles reports from system databases.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of food and beverage and hospitality operations.
  • Customer-oriented with strong time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • HRIS, ATS, and/or LMS experience a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, computer hardware, and servers.
  • High level of discretion and interpersonal skills for handling sensitive and confidential personnel matters.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing, proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and writing communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Physical requirements

  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push office products and supplies up to 20 lbs.
