About the role
The Plumbing Take-Off Estimator supports the Pre-Construction and Estimating team by producing accurate, detailed plumbing quantity take-offs that contribute to complete and competitive project estimates. This role focuses specifically on plumbing systems and requires hands-on trade knowledge, strong blueprint reading skills, and close attention to detail. You will be responsible for reviewing drawings and specifications, understanding project requirements, and delivering reliable quantity data to support estimators in meeting bid deadlines. This is an in-office role that requires strong time management and the ability to perform in a fast-paced estimating environment.
Responsibilities
- Review drawings and specifications to understand project requirements
- Produce accurate, detailed plumbing quantity take-offs
- Deliver reliable quantity data to support estimators in meeting bid deadlines
- Work collaboratively with Estimators and Pre-Construction teams
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on plumbing trade experience
- Trade-specific blueprint reading skills
- Ability to understand specifications and project requirements
- Ability and willingness to work in-office
- Previous estimating or take-off exposure preferred but not required
Skills
- Hands-on plumbing trade experience (commercial plumbing systems)
- Strong plumbing blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Familiarity with domestic water, sanitary, storm, and specialty plumbing systems
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and completeness
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet bid deadlines
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
