Take Back Local - Fall Fellowship

About the role

The Florida Democratic Party (FDP) is seeking remote-based fellows to join the Candidate Support team through the November 2026 election. Fellows will receive training and hands-on experience supporting the FDP's candidate slates through the Take Back Local program, which has supported over 70 local candidates with a 70% win rate, helping Democrats build strong campaigns and win tough elections statewide.

Responsibilities

• Voter contact for Take Back Local candidates, including phone banking and text banking
• Volunteer recruitment for campaign-related activities
• Creating digital materials for Take Back Local candidates
• Special projects for candidates in the Take Back Local program, as needed

Schedule

Fellows are required to commit to a part-time schedule of 12 hours per week for eight weeks, from Monday, September 14th, 2026 to Friday, November 6th, 2026. Work may include weeknights and weekends as necessary.

Pay

Fellows will earn a stipend of $1,500 at the completion of the program.

• Previous campaign, political, or organizing experience is a plus but not required
• Comfortable making direct calls to voters
• High level of personal responsibility
• Excellent writing and communication skills

• Strong collaboration skills and respect for diverse opinions
