Responsibilities
- Respond swiftly and professionally to emergency situations, including disturbances, threats, and potential criminal activity.
- Monitor access points and perform security checks on vehicles and personnel.
- Maintain a clean motor vehicle record, as you may be required to operate a company vehicle as part of your patrol responsibilities.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel as necessary to address incidents or security concerns.
- Enforce all company regulations, policies, and procedures while interacting with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
- Provide detailed written reports, documenting all incidents and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Hold a state security license (CT state Blue Card) with a valid armed endorsement.
- Have a minimum of six (6) months of armed work experience, which may include military and/or law enforcement experience.
- Pass an LEAI Assessment with a score of 62% or higher.
- Pass government-required live-fire testing and meet minimum scores as established by the state of Connecticut.
- Complete a standard NRA course of fire with eighty percent (80%) proficiency.
- Pass a standard GardaWorld Security Services employee physical.
- Pass a modified agility exam to include lifting and moving and flexibility testing (The Kraus Weber Test).
- Pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE). HPE is based on agility, walking, running, and lifting.
- Have or be able to attain all necessary immunizations.
- Provide personally owned duty weapon (9mm caliber handgun & three (3) magazines of a minimum 10 round capacity).
- Complete certification to carry an approved less-lethal alternative (OC Spray).
- Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Have a clean motor vehicle record and ability to operate a security vehicle.
- Be able to respond to high-pressure situations with professionalism and calmness.
- Have first aid certification (an asset).
