Tactical Security Guard
About the role
GardaWorld Security Services is now hiring a Tactical Security Guard for a full-time position in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate should have at least five years of security experience, be 21+ years old, and possess baton, OC spray, and handcuff permits. Candidates with military or law enforcement experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Observe and report on activity at assigned locations
- Work indoors and outdoors in various environments
- Provide rapid response in critical situations
- Read and write detailed reports
- Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards
- Patrol sensitive areas to detect suspicious activity
- React quickly to threats or incidents
- Detain and search individuals as necessary
- Document incidents and actions taken
- Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
- Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
- Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
Qualifications
- State security license and additional 32-hour BSIS security training (additional training can be obtained during the hiring process)
- Documentation of high school diploma or GED
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- At least five years of security experience
- Must be 21+ years old
- Baton, OC spray, and handcuff permits
- First aid certification is an asset
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
