Tactical Security Guard

About the role

GardaWorld Security Services is now hiring a Tactical Security Guard for a full-time position in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate should have at least five years of security experience, be 21+ years old, and possess baton, OC spray, and handcuff permits. Candidates with military or law enforcement experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report on activity at assigned locations
• Work indoors and outdoors in various environments
• Provide rapid response in critical situations
• Read and write detailed reports
• Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards
• Patrol sensitive areas to detect suspicious activity
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Detain and search individuals as necessary
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications

• State security license and additional 32-hour BSIS security training (additional training can be obtained during the hiring process)
• Documentation of high school diploma or GED
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• At least five years of security experience
• Must be 21+ years old
• Baton, OC spray, and handcuff permits
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
