Synectic Solutions is seeking a Tactical Combat Training System Increment II (TCTS II) Development Systems Engineer (Journey-level) to support the Naval Aviation Training Systems and Ranges Program Office (PMA-205) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. PMA-205 provides full lifecycle acquisition of naval aviation platform and general training systems, training range instrumentation systems, and distributed mission training centers. The TCTS II is a next-generation secure, Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) enabling, air combat training system that offers realistic threat scenarios and secure cross-service training.

Responsibilities

  • TCTS II design analysis and requirements management
  • TCTS II capabilities upgrade planning and engineering development of complex systems
  • Employ systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems
  • Plan and oversee Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) events that assess system design maturity, technical health, and readiness for the next development stage
  • Manage Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) development and processing
  • Perform risk management activities, assess and track risk mitigations
  • Perform programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen with Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least three (3) years of recent and relevant experience in a position related to the labor category description
  • Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise
  • This position will require access to SAP
