About the Role
Join our team in greeting every guest, promoting the Total Rewards program, and supporting dealer and supervisor efforts to deliver an exceptional guest entertainment experience at Harrah’s and Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe.
Responsibilities
- Greet new players as they arrive and accommodate any obvious needs.
- Facilitate new Total Rewards sign-ups and ensure tracking cards are printed and delivered to the appropriate supervisor(s).
- Invoke our Service Recovery Initiative as appropriate.
- Assist co-workers in achieving common goals related to great guest service.
- Print markers for guests with a credit line or front money to obtain chips for gaming and redeem markers; assist with Global Cash transactions.
- Prepare Reg. 6A paperwork or rating slips, documenting player gaming activities, including CTRs, MTLs, W2Gs, aggregate W2Gs, dockets, and markers.
- Initiate, prepare, and take marker transfers to the Main Cashier.
- Prepare and complete paperwork for marker redemption to document credit/cash transactions.
- Input manual player tracking information into the computer system to ensure accuracy and storage for future analysis.
- Verify computer information with written documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Check guest accounts to ensure information is updated and accurate.
- Obtain new or restore lost Total Rewards cards from the Total Rewards Center.
- Contact the Cashier Department under the direction of a supervisor or casino manager to activate credit or extend credit beyond established limits, ensuring proper approval and documentation.
- Request and administer fills, credits, and emergency dumps as appropriate.
- Perform general maintenance of table games, change decks, and ensure gaming equipment is in proper working order.
- Provide instructions for and sell table games as appropriate.
- Handle reservations and other arrangements requested by guests or supervisors.
- Access CMS to view special messages or other pertinent information while maintaining discretion due to sensitive information.
- Assist with manual tracking when directed (e.g., cash, chips, average bet, time played).
- Ensure table games areas are properly supplied with necessary materials (e.g., playing cards, dice).
- Assist with co-supervising an assigned pit area under the direct guidance of a supervisor.
- Demonstrate a pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous pit clerking position or guest contact experience preferred.
- Must pass a pre-employment Math test with a score of 80% or better (20-problem minimum).
- Literate and fluent in English.
- Good math skills and computer literacy.
- Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills.
- Motivation and ability to use successful interactive skills.
- Must be a team player and a self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision.
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
- Act as a role model to other team members and present oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment.
- Adhere to all regulatory, company, and department policies and procedures.

- Visual and auditory range must include the immediate environment.
- Standing throughout shift (6 hours or greater).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Walking throughout shift.
- Mobility to move about the property.
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel.
- Positions with public contact require the ability to work in a noisy environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.
- Non-public contact positions may require entering public areas occasionally and may be subject to the same environment.
