TAB Certified Technician
Responsibilities
- Inspect systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect potential or existing malfunctions in system components
- Test and adjust air and hydronic systems, using specialized, company provided, equipment
- Diagnose, Test, Adjust, and Balance system components to achieve optimal system performance
- Investigate system and operational deficiencies to determine corrective actions
- Read and interpret project mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment performance data to determine proper balancing techniques
- Maintain proper documentation of daily activities using project specific reporting procedures
- Actively participate in the company’s NEBB TAB Technician Training Program to ensure all required NEBB and company standards and practices are maintained
- Collaborate with McKenney’s construction foremen and project managers on projects to ensure timely resolution of issues
Requirements
- NEBB TAB Certified Technician (or AABC or TABB Certification)
- A minimum of two years’ experience in the TAB industry
- Clean driving record and MVR
- High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent
- Basic Microsoft Operating System knowledge (Excel & MS Word)
Preferred Qualifications
- NEBB TAB Certified Technician or NEBB TAB Certified Professional
- Five years of experience in the TAB industry
- Experience in healthcare facility testing
- Knowledge of ASHRAE 170
- Knowledge of NFPA stairwell pressurization criteria
