TAB Certified Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect potential or existing malfunctions in system components
• Test and adjust air and hydronic systems, using specialized, company provided, equipment
• Diagnose, Test, Adjust, and Balance system components to achieve optimal system performance
• Investigate system and operational deficiencies to determine corrective actions
• Read and interpret project mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment performance data to determine proper balancing techniques
• Maintain proper documentation of daily activities using project specific reporting procedures
• Actively participate in the company’s NEBB TAB Technician Training Program to ensure all required NEBB and company standards and practices are maintained
• Collaborate with McKenney’s construction foremen and project managers on projects to ensure timely resolution of issues

Requirements

• NEBB TAB Certified Technician (or AABC or TABB Certification)
• A minimum of two years’ experience in the TAB industry
• Clean driving record and MVR
• High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent
• Basic Microsoft Operating System knowledge (Excel & MS Word)

Preferred Qualifications

• NEBB TAB Certified Technician or NEBB TAB Certified Professional
• Five years of experience in the TAB industry
• Experience in healthcare facility testing
• Knowledge of ASHRAE 170
• Knowledge of NFPA stairwell pressurization criteria
