TA Field Technician
Job Description
Participates in weekly meetings and annual training events, assists in tech support for MAST events worldwide, as time allows. Knowledge of the WA translation resources BTTW, BTTR, Orature, V-MAST, WACS, etc. is a must.
Publishing
Prepares digital scripture translation files, that have been uploaded, and carries them through the publishing process so they can be posted in a location directed by the TS team. This role does require overseas travel, about 3-4 trips per year, to install hardware and software and train national translators.
Strategic Impact
This role plays a critical function in delivering technical support for Translation Services and Field Development throughout MAST translation events. Given that WA leverages technology for its translation endeavors, the Field Technician has emerged as an indispensable and integral component of the operation.
