About the Role

As Model Engineer, you will be the prime technical point of contact leading the overall GE Aerospace engineering team to execute the program's technical requirements. In this role, you will coordinate with Engineering, Project, and the technical team from the customer. Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process aimed at meeting both the business and technical needs of customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets user needs.

The role involves a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, including identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs, and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. This process proceeds from concept to production to operation.

This position impacts approaches, projects, and programs within the functional area or affected business organization and influences ways of working. It affects the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of your team and has significant input into priorities. The role operates with moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Manages product and systems requirements, specifications, and flow down.
  • Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system-level testing.
  • Defines product requirements for module/component/subcontractor and partner teams.
  • Manages the interface between components and execution organizations.
  • Drives CTQ/Risk trades within the teams designing the components.
  • Manages the overall product configuration and configuration control system.
  • Recommends approaches to meet technical and program requirements.
  • Formulates and implements plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules, and contract commitments.
  • Develops action plans to anticipate and respond to problems.
  • Provides technical guidance to other personnel.
  • Develops specialized knowledge in your discipline and serves as a best practice/quality resource.
  • Contributes toward strategy and policy development and ensures delivery within your area of responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a program or project leadership role within an engineering environment.

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $149,500.00 - $198,950.00 USD annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary.
