About the role

The Preschool Assistant - Special Ed. is responsible for providing support to disabled students within the Fairborn Primary School. The position requires a high school diploma and the ability to work with special needs children.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with their classwork.
• Aid in planning and implementing the daily schedule.
• Perform student transfers as necessary to ensure the safety and care of students in the classroom.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines related to preschool education.
• Meet the requirements for an educational aide permit as outlined by the State of Ohio Department of Education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with disabled students.
• Highly qualified to assist in special education settings.
• Physically capable of performing student transfers.
• Knowledge of and adherence to state and federal guidelines for preschool education.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work with special needs children.
• Physical stamina for assisting students.
