V2X is seeking a Systems Security Engineer I to join our Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN supporting cybersecurity for advanced mission systems. These systems include mission computers, avionics, sensors, and mission equipment for airborne and ground platforms. As a Systems Security Engineer I, you will work with experienced security and systems engineers to protect mission critical systems through secure configurations, vulnerability management, and RMF compliance activities.
Responsibilities
- Support security documentation, baseline hardening, evidence collection, and basic assessment tasks while learning DoD RMF and NIST guidance.
- Collaborate within cross functional Integrated Product Teams where effective communication and teamwork are essential.
- Assist with system categorization and initial control mapping to NIST SP 800-53.
