Systems Security Engineer (Hybrid) with Security Clearance

Nightwing Intelligence Solutions is seeking a Systems Security Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. This position is hybrid and offers competitive compensation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for complex IT environments
• Conduct security assessments and risk analyses
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of system development
• Stay current with emerging threats and technologies in cybersecurity

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity
• Experience with security architecture, design, and implementation
• Strong understanding of network security, encryption, and secure coding practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Qualifications

• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks like NIST, ISO, and/or FedRAMP
• Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps practices

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Experience with security automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
